First Nations Participation

A key component of the Forests for Tomorrow (FFT) program is to encourage First Nations to participate in the program through employment and business opportunities to deliver silviculture activities that provide benefits for future generations. FFT Recipient Holders are encouraged to direct a portion of their operating programs to qualified First Nations companies and workers. In addition to the operational element, FFT recognizes the need for other opportunities to help First Nations gain access to the skills and qualifications they will need to work in silviculture.
